Our Band is accessible to students whose fine motor skills are still emerging as xylophone playing only requires gross motor skills. Movement, worksheets and music games are a large part of the many educational activities your child will experience. The following are included in the curriculum: music alphabet, melodic direction, simple intervals, musical form, musical patterns, part playing, ensemble playing rehearsal techniques and cooperation.

This xylophone ensemble is modeled after the pedagogy of Carl Orff, connecting language patterns to rhythm. A home instrument is included in the tuition.
