For over 25 years, ANMS has offered an innovative and fun summer program for young musicians! Your child will spend the summer building a musical foundation, learning musical theater skills, producing artwork, and performing! They will enjoy typical elements of summer camp, such as crafts and outdoor games, while becoming more experienced musicians. Learn from our outstanding faculty and highly experienced counseling staff. Each week culminates in a music performance featuring the skills and songs learned that week.
Faculty
Kim Petot, Director, has taught at ANMS since 1988, and has developed a curriculum that uses piano, keyboard, xylophone, singing, and movement to teach musical skills to children. In addition to her work at ANMS, she performs as a member of Chorus Pro Musica.
Laura Backley, Musical Theater Coach, teaches musical theater classes at ANMS, and directs the yearly musical performances. In addition, she is on the faculty at Cambridge School of Weston, where she teaches theater and voice.
Individual instruction is the basis for a life-long appreciation of music. All Newton Music School offers private instruction for a wide variety of instruments and voice. Music Therapy is offered for students with special needs. Students of all ages and levels are placed with our excellent faculty. Our Department Coordinators will match students' needs with an appropriate teacher and assign the lesson, day and time. Students can enroll anytime during the semester, and the tuition will be prorated accordingly. If you have any further questions about private lessons, feel free to contact our Department Coordinators.
Youth Classes are a great way to begin to learn music. If you have any further questions about classes, feel free to contact our Registrar Alison Wittle at awhittle@allnewtonmusicschool.com or 617.527.4553
