Mark Wheeler holds a B.M. from the Eastman School of Music, and an M.M. from Boston University, College of Fine Arts. He is an active performer and educator in the Boston area. Principal teachers include Tim Genis, John Beck, and Jeff Fischer. Wheeler has attended the Music Academy of the West summer festival in Santa Barbara, Tanglewood, and the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. With the Verbier Festival Orchestra, he toured Europe, Asia, and Australia under Herbert Blomstedt. Wheeler has had the privilege of working with several great conductors, including James Levine, Daniele Gatti, and Paavo Järvi.
