Kate graduated Cum Laude in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music where she received a Berklee Jazz Masters Award and a four year Merit Scholarship for academic excellence. At Harvard University, Kate studied analog electronic music with PHD candidates and began to incorporate computer in her writing and teaching. Kate performs in Boston and Metro West regularly with an eclectic group of artists, such as the legendary "Boston Pops" trumpeter/vocalist, Dennis Alves, Rounder Records artist Richard Gates, critically acclaimed clarinetist Diane Heffner and the infamous song writer, guitarist Wendy Sobel.
