Duo Pegasus

Clarinetist Scott Wright and pianist Linda Halloin formed DUO PEGASUS in 1998 after performing several chamber music concerts together.  Since then, DUO PEGASUS has performed throughout the United States and Europe in many recitals, concerts, and educational settings.  Their wide range of repertoire includes works from the 18th century for clarinet and keyboard through to the present 21st century.  In addition to playing the classical "great" pieces in the repertoire, they take delight in presenting to their audience other little-known works.

In November, 2002, the Duo travelled to Slovakia where they were featured performers in the 7th International Festival of Contemporary Music in Bratislava - the first American group to be so featured.  In the fall of 2004 DUO PEGASUS travelled to Italy where they performed and taught at the Naples Conservatory of Music.  In addition, the duo performed for musicians of the United States 6th Naval Fleet and NATO Band, as well as for school children in and around Naples.  On tour in the United Kingdom in 2006, the Duo premiered a new sonata for clarinet and piano by the English composer Mike Mower, performing and teaching at the Royal Northern Academy of Music in Manchester, the Royal Welsh Academy of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales, and the University of Chichester.  2009 saw them back in the U.K. in Scotland, at the University of Aberdeen.  Between the duo's European tours, they have managed to play in most corners of the United States.
